HRI 2016 Annual General meeting recap

The Hockey Regina Annual General Meeting was held on Tuesday April 5 at the Queensbury Centre. There were 84 voting members in attendance.

Larry Wees was elected by acclamation as President.

Five of the six open Board positions were filled by the following people: Kevin Baron, Mark Burton, Andrea Hoffman, Joanne Merk and Geoff Thachuk.  They join the returning Board members: Christie Bjolverud, Rick Hagglund, Brad Hunt, Ian Jones, Tom Millette and Trevor Mitchell.  The HRI Board will fill the lone open position.

The unaudited financial statements for the year ended April 30, 2016 were presented.  The highlights include:
- Registration revenue of $2.4M
- Total revenue of $2.75M
- Hockey expenses of $2.4M
- Administration expenses of $317,000
- Projected net income of $33,750
