2023/24 is the fifth season that our amazing teams have been supporting Hockey Fights Cancer. Since 2019 our teams have proudly chosen to raise and donate over $82,000! This an incredible indication of what individuals can accomplish when they pull together as one team.
2022
October 27/2022 - December 31/2022
This season marks the fourth year for our Hockey Fights Cancer fundraising. Since 2019 our teams have raised and donated over $45,000! What a tremendous accomplishment! We are looking forward to lots and lots of lavender around the rinks again this season.
2021
November 1/2021 - December 31/2021
This season marks the third year for our Hockey Fights Cancer fundraising. We are very excited to be able to have games again this year and are looking forward to lots and lots of lavender around the rinks!
Hockey Regina now has an online donation page set up so that family from far (and near) will be able to safely donate to the fundraising efforts of a specific team.
This year our teams donations will be specifically directed towards the research of:
- Childhood Cancer
- Breast Cancer
- Prostate Cancer
2020
November 1/2020 - January 31/2021
This season, given all the challenges that we are facing with the Covid-19 pandemic, our fundraising efforts will look a little bit different. We will still be 'going lavender' and our teams will still be fundraising (safely of course) but now donating to their efforts has gotten a little easier.
Hockey Regina now has an online donation page set up so that family from far (and near) will be able to safely donate to the fundraising efforts of a specific team.

In the months of November, December and January please encourage your team to 'Go Lavender' in any way that they can. (While of course following all safety guidelines!)
Due to the COVID-19 safety measures, not many of our participating teams were able to take team photos, but we do have a few for this year.
2019
This was our first season joining the Hockey Fights Cancer campaign and we had a great time 'going lavender.'
Hockey Regina came together with one common goal and our teams raised and donated over $18,000 to Hockey Fights Cancer!!! We couldn't be more proud of our teams!

Founded in 1998 by the National Hockey League® and the National Hockey League Players' Association, Hockey Fights Cancer™ unites the hockey community in support of cancer patients and their families. The initiative gets an assist from players, coaches, officials, equipment managers, front office staff, corporate partners, and fans. Together, the hockey family looks to inspire hope and courage for those who are living with, going through, and moving past cancer.
This November, Hockey Regina will proudly be promoting Hockey Fights Cancer. We were the first minor hockey association in Saskatchewan to join the fight, and as an association we are very happy to play a part in it.
We are encouraging all of our teams to participate in Hockey Fights Cancer.
Players can donate their allowance for a week, do odd jobs or chores, do a team raffle, have a candy guess jar, host your own lavender game etc. etc. etc.
Everyone can fight cancer.
