Long time hockey volunteer passes away

Long time hockey coach, Board member and volunteer, Fred McBeth, passed away Friday, October 31. Fred was involved in minor hockey for over 30 years, especially at the Midget Tier 1 level.  He was a Board member and President of the Regina Boys Community Hockey League and was an integral part in the formation of the Queen City Hockey League.  Fred was the Regina Representative on the SHA Board of Directors as well as a member of the World Junior (1991) commitee.  Fred was the tournament Chairman of the Midget Tier 1 tournament for a number of years and in 2013 HRI named the tournament in his honour. Fred will be missed.
