Hockey Officials Bursary Program

Hockey Regina Members,
 
To help promote new younger officials to enter the game and to retain our young officials, Hockey Regina in partnership with the Regina Hockey Officials Association, are offering all officials 17 years and under a reimbursement of their clinic registration, Hockey Canada online, and SHA/RHOA membership fees.

To qualify for this bursary, the officials must:

a) Complete the on-line modules through Hockey Canada's Hockey University. (link to this site can be found on the Saskatchewan Hockey Association website: www. sha.sk.ca).

b) Register for a clinic in the local area

c) Attend a clinic

d) Register with Regina Hockey Officials Association to begin rotation and game assignment as an official.

In exchange for the bursary, Hockey Regina's expectation is that the bursary recipient must officiate at least 15 games over the 2015/2016 season.
 
Officials will have to pay for all costs upfront including jersey, visor, whistle, casebook, provincial and Hockey Canada crest, arm bands, officiating manual as well as above registration costs.
