Rebels off to Nationals

In an incredibly exciting Western Championship Series, the Regina Rebels defeated the defending National Champions, Pembina Valley Hawks, in a two game sweep.  Both games in the series went to overtime.

In the first game of the Western championship final series Leah Bohlekn scored the game winner after Pembina sent the game into overtime by scoring with 11-seconds remaining in regulation.

In game two, Hanna Heisler scored the series winner at the 5:47 mark of the first overtime period. 

With the victory Saturday night,the Rebels garnered the Western Midget AAA Female Championship and a place at the Esso Cup in Burnaby, BC for the week of April 21 to 27th. Congratulations to all the Regina Rebels and coaching staff on the win.
