The Hockey Regina (HRI) Board wishes to announce the naming of the Midget Tier 1, Atom Tier 1 and Initiations tournaments after long-time contributors to minor hockey in the City and Province. The people being honoured are Fred McBeth, Jim Odling and George Watson.
The new tournament names will be: Fred McBeth Midget AA Tournament v January 11-13, 2013 George Waston Atom AA Classic v January 18-20, 2013 Jim Odling Timbits Initiation Year End Festival v March 9+10, 2013
HRI is extremely excited to honour these great individuals. Many people have put in long hours in developing minor hockey and it is the least that can be done to honour them. The naming of these tournaments continue the practice that was started a few years ago with the renaming of the Bantam Tier 1 tournament to the Graham Tuer Bantam AA Challenge.
