Board member recruitment
To the Membership of Hockey Regina,
Recently two board members resigned and as such the board is actively recruiting to fill two board positions. We are seeking members who have the desire and interest to make a positive contribution on the HRI Board and to our hockey community.
Our board appointments present a mix of both operational and strategic goals. The majority of board members have responsibility for one of our age group divisions (Initiation thru Midget). Responsibilities include daily issues management including coach selection and on-going feedback, overseeing division evaluations, managing child and parent concerns and maintaining regular communication with fellow board members. Board members attend bi-weekly meetings and participate on a number of committees. A significant goal of the board this year is the development and implementation of a multi-year strategic plan.
I am writing you today to encourage interested members to put their name forward with a brief letter outlining how their knowledge, experience and interest would contribute to our hockey program. The board appointments would be for the remainder of the 2012/13 hockey season.
