What do my HRI fees cover?
Included in the HRI fees are the cost of the league and playoff games, practices, jerseys, socks and insurance.
Do a portion of my fees go to support other teams/divisions within HRI?
No. The fees in each division are established on a cost neutral basis. Only the costs of that team/division are used in determining the fees.
How come the HRI fees increased over last year?
In conjunction with the City of Regina, HRI was able to secure enough ice time to give all teams in all divisions a substantial amount of practices. In previous years, each team was responsible to source out thier own practice ice. For this season, each team will be alloted enough practice time that they should not have to source out additional ice times. This practice ice is included in the HRI fee.
Did the maximum amount per player increase?
The maximum budgeted amount per player did increase over last year. This increase is attiibutable to an increase in referee costs and an increase in the cost of the ice charged to HRI. The cost of ice is now much closer to fair market value.
Do I pay the HRI fees directly to HRI?
No. Upon being placed on a team, the HRI fee is paid directly to the team. The team then pays HRI the appropriate amount.
Will HRI collect the entire HRI fee at the start of the season?
No. With HRI now supplying the practice ice to teams, HRI will set up a payment schedule with all the teams. The payment schedule will be 50% upon registration, 35% due December 15 and 15% due January 15. At the time of the initial team registration, all teams will provide HRI with post-dated cheques for the payments.
