Female Bantam AA 2018/19
To all Female Bantam players (Born 2004 +2005):
The 2018/19 season will see an amalgamation of the SSFHL and the NSFHL into one Female Provincial league. The work to form the new league has already started. The league will be comprised of Atom, Pee Wee, Bantam A, Midget AA and Midget A divisions. . It is anticipated that there will be a Bantam AA division in the 2019/20 season. The HRI Atom and Pee Wee female teams will continue to play within the HRI “coed” tiered divisions.
For the 2018/19 season, the league will not be allowing Bantam AA teams to play in the Midget AA division.
Due to the league’s decision, the HRI Board has decided not to have a Female Bantam AA team for the 2018/19 season but form two Female Midget AA teams. Second year Bantam players will be able to try out for the Midget AA teams along with Midget aged players. Only second year Bantams will be allowed to tryout, first year Bantams will not be allowed to tryout for Midget AA. SHA (Regulation #6.05.04.e) does not allow for 1st year Bantam’s to play or affiliate to a Female Midget team.
HRI will be looking to the league to grant an exemption for the 2018/19 season. Should we be successful, we will communicate this out.
Note that it is HRI’s policy to not grant releases to Bantam age players.
