2017/18 Hockey Regina Initiatives



During the 2017/18 season, Hockey Regina has partaken in numerous initiatives.  Here is a summary of some of those initiatives:

HRI Initiatives - Female

  • Try Female Hockey Day - Sept 9

             -Over 80 girls participated

  • World Female Day - Oct 7

             -120 girls from Novice to Midget

  • Work with Midget AAA Rebels

             -Rock the Rink, 7th Player, Practice with the Rebels

  • Mentor program with U of R Cougars & Rebels

 

HRI Initiatives - Player development

  • Novice/Atom Goalie Jamboree - Sept 16

            -75 goalies participated

  • Canadian Tire First Shift program

            -45 First time players

  • Xmas Atom skill camp - Jan 2

           -60 players participated

 

HRI Initiatives - Coach Development

  • Over 900 registered team officials
  • Coach mentorship Initiation thru Pee Wee
  • All coaches received Hockey Canada practice App
  • In conjunction with SHA, we hosted 19 coaching clinics

 

HRI Initiatives - Other

  • U of R Cougars Anti-bullying presentations

          -Bantam + Midget teams

  • Referee assigning in-house

          -340 active officials

  • New office space at Co-operators Centre

          -June 1, 2018
