2017 WHL Draft

In total, there were 230 players drafted, with 41 player from Saskatchewan selected.

Congratulations to the three HRI players drafted:
+  Stanely Cooley, Forward, 62nd overall to Prince George Cougars
+  Davin Griffin, Forward, 100th overall to Prince Albert Raiders 
+  Noah Kuntz, Defense,  170th overall to to Kamloops Blazers

Also congratulations to the one HRI Associate players drafted:
+  Cale Caragata (Lumsden), Forward, 203rd overall to Saskatoon Blades

    • Currently Assistant Captain for the Pittsburgh Penguins
  • Tyler Bozak
    • Played 2 years for NCAA Division 1 University of Denver Pioneers
    • Currently Assistant Captain for the Toronto Maple Leafs
  • JC Lipon
    • Played 4 years with the Kamloops Blazers
    • Member of the 2013 Canadian World Junior team
    • 3rd round draft pick of the Winnipeg Jets
    • Currently playing for the Manitoba Moose (AHL)
  • Graham Black
    • 2001 SMAAAHL MVP
    • Played three year for the Swift Current Broncos
    • 5th round draft pick of the New Jersey Devils in 2012
    • Currently playing for the Springfield Thunderbirds (AHL)
